Horse riding on Sydney beaches is restricted, so follow the trail to one of these NSW coastal hotspots for some spectacular beach horse riding. Giddy up! 

Zephyr Horses, Byron Bay

Zephyr Horses is all about delivering soulful, adventurous experiences from their whimsical horse ranch in the vibrant coastal town of Byron Bay. They offer small personalised guided horse tours from the hinterland along the coastline to iconic Belongil Beach. Meander through this tranquil wonderland of stunning flora and fauna and down to the shoreline where you can canter along the sand. Private rides and professional photo packages are also available. Beach rides are Monday to Friday only and are not available on public holidays.

Seahorses, Byron Bay

Also in bohemian Byron, Seahorses Riding Centre will take you on a journey to explore the natural beauty of the bay on horseback. Their beach rides take you along the seashore of stunning Brunswick Heads where you will share the joy of the sand and sea while saddled up on your steed. They offer both group and private rides. Beach rides are Monday to Friday only and are not available on public holidays.

Pegasus Park Equestrian Centre, Bangalow

Pegasus Park Equestrian Centre in Bangalow, the quaint little town in NSW’s Northern Rivers region, love sharing their passion for horses. Their memorable beach rides start on idyllic, secluded Seven-mile Beach at nearby Lennox Head, and continue to Broken Head and Byron Bay. You can snap photos and videos as you venture across some of the most isolated stretches of sand. You also go down to the water for a splash whilst riding on our graceful horses. Their enchanting guided trail rides will take you through cane fields and coastal forests and down to South Ballina Beach. Take a breezy trot along the sand and lead your horse into shallow pools along the shoreline. Keep an eye out for whales and dolphins during the migration season! Tassiriki Ranch also has Stay & Ride packages for a fun weekend away and tailored private horseback tours. Beach rides operate 7 days a week subject to demand.

Horseabout Tours, Tuncurry
