Where To Get High Tea Takeaway And Delivery In Sydney

Thanks to the COVID pandemic and subsequent pivot that has taken Australia by storm, Takeaway High Tea is a thing! About time, I say.
High Tea has been around for over 150 years which shows it's timeless and enjoyed by everyone - and now it can be eaten anywhere. While we're in lockdown and forced to celebrate milestones in isolation, we can treat ourselves with a little indulgence and embrace the silver linings!
Live it up with these top picks for where to get high tea takeaway and delivery in Sydney.
1. Alibi Bar & Dining Vegan High Tea
Nestled in the Ovolo Hotel in Wooloomooloo, Alibi Bar & Dining has become a well-known character on the Sydney high tea scene, plant-based or otherwise. This all-vegan high tea is now available for takeaway, and costs $90 for two people with a selection of sweet and savoury treats; like pulled ‘duck’ pancakes and cashew meringues. There’s also the option to add further treats to your order, like a bottle of Prosecco or a selection of bottled cocktails. Bottoms up!
2. The Sheraton Grand
The newest addition to the takeaway high tea life is from the luxury hotel, The Sheraton Grand. Introducing the Sheraton's "High Tea At Home" in mid-July 2021, you can now get a fancy high tea that serves two for $69. It includes savouries, like arancini with coconut bacon and truffle aioli, Moreton Bay bug quiches, finger sandwiches, and charcoal bread, and sweets, like canelé with Biscoff, a matcha and mango slice, and a purple coconut cream pillow. There are also the traditional scones, clotted cream, and jam. The five-star hotel has also introduced picnic hampers featuring cheese, charcuterie, sandwiches and sweets. Pick up and delivery is available for Friday through Sunday, 11am - 3pm only. Delivery can be ordered through Uber Package Delivery Orders must be in by 5 pm on Wednesdays.
3. The Grounds Of Alexandria
This Alexandria institution serves up Classic High Tea Packs that cater for 2, 4 or 6 people from $64 per person. With posh bite-sized delights including sandwiches tarts and sweet treats, it's an indulgent high tea experience you can have at home. They also do Scones With Jam & Cream from $32.00 plus a Vegetarian High Tea. Check out The Grounds for pickup and delivery options as well as a list of treats in each pack. Available Friday to Sunday.
4. Stamford Hotel
Perfectly located in Circular Quay and spoilt for choice, you won’t have problems finding a cosy spot with a phenomenal view for a picnic, date or a just because. The Stamford Hotel Takeaway High Tea is $89 for two people and comes complete on a convenient portable three-tiered stand with fresh homemade scones with jam and butter, five sweet treats and five savoury treats (all Chef's selections). Special dietary needs are welcomed.

5. The Tea Cosy
With freshly baked scones daily, The Tea Cosy at The Rocks, Sydney has raised the bar on this humble classic! Get a Classic Scone Pack delivered on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to selected Sydney suburbs from $45. Scones are served with three gourmet jams of choice and luscious double thickened cream and these delightful packs will put a smile on anyone’s face.
6. The Sconery
The Sconery is all about creating food memories for its customers, so try their High Tea Box and create a few of your own with loved ones. $40 for two people gets you smoked salmon sandwiches with cream cheese and pickles using the Sconery’s signature wholemeal bread, The Sconery’s famous scones ( plain & fruit – raisins, sultanas, currants & cranberries) with homemade berry jam and extra thick cream, plus a slice of creamy baked cheesecake with beautiful lemon cream on top, chocolate fudge cake, orange & almond cake just to mention a few sweeties.
