Velocity Falls at Jamberoo Action Park is Officially Open

One of NSW's favourite and biggest water parks now has even more thrills and spills! Jamerboo Action Park has undergone a mega renovation and is now home to the brand-new Velocity Falls precinct.

Velocity Falls is Jamberoo Action Park's latest ride and features the newest and biggest rides of exceptional calibre in Australia (and the world!), and promises an experience akin to 'zero gravity'!

Velocity Falls: Jamberoo Action Park's New Water Precinct

Years in the making and costing upwards of $ 7 million dollars, Jamberoo's Velocity Falls has been compared to the likes of Wet'n'Wild on the Gold Coast.

According to Jamberoo, "Velocity Falls is a themed, world-class experience that taps into the sights and sounds of Australiana and builds on the existing theming at NSW’s largest family-owned and operated water theme park. Volumes of water racing at speed and the experience of zero gravity are the cornerstones of the Velocity Falls precinct. All wrapped in the texture of the local rainforest and ocean creatures – only possible at Jamberoo Action Park – where the mountains meet the sea!"

We don't know about you, but the proclaimed 'zero gravity' of the new precinct has got us pretty intrigued!

The New Rides at Velocity Falls

The new rides at Velocity Falls are the biggest and newest rides of their type in Australia and amongst the biggest and best in the world!

The eye-opening dual waterslide, Octo Racer has replaced the ageing Splash Out waterslide that was built in the early 1980s and now has eight individual slides and a further two 'multi-bump' slides extending approximately 30 metres from the base to the top.

Queensland architect, Alan Griffith is behind the design of Velocity Falls and has described the new water slide as, ..."'multibump speed slides' that take off from a 'Skybox vertical launch' platform, through the gorge rock strata to the splashdown on each side of the Octokraken Racer."

The Stinger is described as a truly hair-raising experience. Based on the oceanic purple stinger, the Stinger catapults riders from the inside of their launching chamber at hair-raising speeds before splashing into the high-velocity run-out zone below - eek!

Jamberoo Action Park is located at 1215 Jamberoo Rd, Jamberoo and is open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm.
