Now Open: 2 New Playgrounds at Fairfield Heights Park & Bareena Park

Two brand-new playgrounds in the Fairfield City region are now open, inviting residents and families of all ages to come together, have fun, and get active.

Thanks to a generous $4.9 million grant from the NSW Government's Public Spaces Legacy Program, Bareena Park in Canley Vale and Fairfield Heights Park have undergone impressive upgrades to elevate them straight to 'super park' status. Here's what you need to know.

The new Bareena Park in Canley Vale features a one-of-a-kind, larger-than-life koi fish slide and an exciting climbing rope feature, all complementing a captivating water-themed playground.

The equipment lineup includes five bay swings, carousels, spinners, rockers, seesaws, musical delights, slides that will have you zooming with glee, a shaded toddler play area, a fantastic gym node, a learning-to-ride circuit track, cosy picnic spots, even an Exeloo toilet for convenience.

Fairfield Heights Park dazzles with its enchanting nature-themed playground. Imagine a sprawling treehouse centrepiece (The 'Fairy's Treehouse') complete with a thrilling slide, accessible play equipment for all abilities, swings galore for toddlers and kids, an exciting play zone, a thrilling flying fox, a refreshing water play area, a learn-to-ride track for budding cyclists, a gym node for the active ones, a bubbler, ample picnic areas to relax and unwind, and of course, an Exeloo toilet for added convenience.

The highlight of this impressive new playground is undoubtedly the 'Fairy's Treehouse', which scales for a whopping 10 metres and features four tiers to adventure on. A telescope-equipped balcony on the third tier and a remarkable tube slide on the fourth tier will engage the kids for hours, while the lower tiers are geared towards younger users.

Playground Locations 

The Bareena Playground (aka, the koi fish playground) is located at 2 Bareena Street, Canley Vale.

The new Fairfield Heights Park Playground is located at 90 Camden Street, Fairfield Heights.
