The secret is out about the dynamic duo who've been busily acquiring picturesque waterfront venues to the north of Sydney. The driving forces behind the hospitality ventures that have been making waves: Restaurateur and publican extraordinaire, Ben May, fresh off the success of selling the Manly Wharf Hotel in June, has joined forces with the hospitality veteran, Rob Domjen. Together, they're crafting a new chapter in waterfront hospitality.

Ben May, known for bringing the vibrant vibes of Mrs. Sippy to Bali and proudly owning the iconic Burleigh Pavilion in sunny southeast Queensland, enthusiastically shares, "These days, I'm all about the art of crafting unforgettable dining experiences." We're all ears, Mr. May!

The duo are reviving the original name, the Barrenjoey Boatshed, paying homage to its rich history dating back to 1947, but insist that while they fully intend to embrace the coastal charm of the area, they're steering clear of the cliché boat shed look.

Barrenjoey Boatshed Opening Date

While a definitive date hasn't yet been earmarked, Barrenjoey Boatshed is set to re-open at the start of the Palm Beach holiday season—which means it's incoming in December 2023. Mark your calendars, folks!

Terrigal Too!

As if one project weren't enough, the duo is also crafting the dazzling Terrigal Pavilio—a multi-level masterpiece that effortlessly blends with the sand and sea. The Terrigal Pavillion will undergo a $5 million refit before reopening in late 2024.
