Our sushi dreams have come true!
If your little one has ever asked, "But where's the train?" at your local sushi train joint, take them for lunch at the Sydney CBD's underground Sushi Shinsen - where the real sushi train is at.
The "world's first order and automated direct-to-table delivery system", select and order your go-to sushi plates off the iPad at your seat, before they magically appear in front of you fast, and not just on a conveyor belt, but on a mini bullet train!
The actual Shinkansen Bullet Train in Japan was the prototype for Sushi Shinsen's mini bullet train which speedily serves sushi lovers in the US, Hong Kong, Signapore, Kuwait, Cambodia and Thailand, and more recently, Australia. Melbourne is next on the list for a Genki Sushi joint, so stay tuned!
The automated order system also means freshness guaranteed - no more soggy tempura or cold torched salmon, or worrying about how many times the sashimi has gone round and round.
Sushi plate prices start at just $2.30, and with the generously stuffed handrolls only $3.80 each, you can order a stack of plates here without worrying about the weight on your wallet.
