Woolworths might have to change their moniker from the fresh-food people to the collectible-craze people.

Just a month after their wildly successful Disney+ Ooshie promotion ended early due to “unprecedented demand”, they have released a namesake novelty toy just in time for Christmas - and it’s already flying off the shelves!

Available at 900 stores nationwide, the product is a Woolworths Mini Supermarket, designed so kids can recreate the magical supermarket shopping experience at home! Kids love make-believe, and this well-equiped imaginative playset comes complete with 47 accessories including a cash register, item scanner, plastic fruit, a point-of-sale screen, signage, product shelves and mini shopping bags.

With a regular $60 price tag, the Mini Supermarket is being snapped up at lightning speed for the special launch price of $40 by eager parents who can't wait to put it under the tree.

“With Christmas around the corner and parents starting to look for fun gifts that fosters creativity and imagination, we've introduced a mini Woolworths supermarket for all the fresh food kids in the making,” a Woolworths spokesperson said.

“They’re already proving to be a popular gift with customers and we expect them to be a big hit this Christmas.”
