Body Beyond Baby
Body Beyond Baby was designed by mums, for mums and is run by mums. They have trainers throughout Sydney offering baby-friendly group exercise sessions, and a few of these also offer onsite childcare, helping women to regain their sense of self and body confidence and enjoy some much-needed ‘me’ time. If your little one simply wants to be with mum, they’re more than welcome to join in the workout!
All sessions are structured around the fact that women have gone through the epic physical undertaking that is childbirth, so things like pelvic floor and abdominal separation are front of mind when designing the workouts. Add to this a range of cardiovascular and resistance exercises and you have the ideal, well-rounded workout that’s perfect for the post-natal period.
With an impressive complex at UNSW in Kensington, YMCA is the perfect place to plan your return to fitness. Not only does the complex boast a health club, 50m indoor heated pool, steam room, squash courts, group fitness studio and a whole lot more.
The Y has also got the jackpot for parents - a morning crèche which enables you to get your workout done and dusted all before lunch. It’s just $10.00 an hour for each child.
Offering pretty much every type of class you could think of plus world-class gym facilities, Fitness Playground is the perfect place to dip your toe back into the workout waters after having a baby. And the best part? Their Marrickville location has an on-site crèche, which costs just $5 an hour, so you can leave your little one in great hands while you get your sweat on.
There’s a Spin City spin studio, a Mind-Body studio, weights area, cardio zone, lifting platforms and lux, boutique bathrooms to have a solo shower and spruce up!

Active mamas and papas, listen up.
