A Playground of Imagination: Brick Works Exhibition and Play Zone

The festivities kick off with the three-day South Eveleigh Brick Works Exhibition and Play Zone, running from 15 - 17 August. Kids can immerse themselves in a vibrant wonderland, featuring larger-than-life displays and interactive play areas filled with 100% LEGO^® bricks. Kids and adults will be mesmerised as award-winning Australian brick artist Kale Frost brings Eveleigh's iconic Locomotive Workshop to life in a stunning LEGO^® bricks construction. Unleash your creativity and your inner child and build masterpieces and memories together!

The Wonders of Science: Byte Wise - A Questacon Exhibition

From 7 - 10 August, celebrate Science Week at the Locomotive Workshop Central corridor and Locomotive Street as they host the interactive Byte Wise Questacon Exhibition. This interactive exhibition is designed to ignite curiosity and deepen understanding of computational thinking. With 24 mind-boggling exhibits placed around the precinct covering programming, algorithms, patterns, irrational numbers, measurement, geometry, logic, and problem-solving, it's an educational adventure that will inspire young minds. Families can engage in hands-on activities that bring science and technology to life and make learning fun and accessible. 

Tail-Wagging, Furry Fun: Puppy Pics and Playtime

On Sundays, Brewdog South Eveleigh hosts a delightful series of Pooch Portrait sessions, offering complimentary dog portraits and photo booths, making it a perfect outing for families with furry friends. Simply bring your pooch, grab a schooner and receive a complimentary portrait, with different arty options available each week.

On Wednesday 28 August, South Eveleigh will also host a Puppy Playtime session at the Interchange Pavilion. Brighten your day with a cuddle from the cutest puppies around! Whether you're a dog lover or simply need a fun way to de-stress, Puppy Playtime promises to be a heartwarming experience.

Lights, Camera, Action: Silent Cinema Series

Every Saturday during the festival, South Eveleigh will transform into a cinematic wonderland with its Silent Cinema Series. At 5:30 pm, kids can enjoy a special movie screening with professional childcare and a delicious meal deal, allowing parents to explore the precinct. The meal deal includes a box of chicken nuggets and chips, popcorn, and juice, all for just $30. Later in the evening, a FREE family-friendly film will be shown at 8 pm, complete with silent headphones and cosy bean bags. It's a unique movie-going experience that the whole family can enjoy.

Best Foot Forward: Rare Finds And Sneaker-Cleaning

Fashion enthusiasts won't want to miss a dynamic weekend celebrating Australia's premier sneaker and streetwear marketplace PUSHAS from 23 - 25 August. This immersive, free activation brings the hottest sneakers and streetwear to South Eveleigh, featuring rare collections, free sneaker-cleaning sessions, competitions and DJ entertainment. Explore the latest trends and add some style inspo to your winter wardrobe. 

Roll In: Bike Tune-Up Station

For those looking to stay active, the Bike Tune-Up Station is the place to be. On 13 and 27 August, families can get free bike checks for both kids' and adults' bikes with professional bike technicians from The Rolling Fix. Ensure your ride is in top condition with expert help and on-site bicycle safety checks and servicing. 

Ben Buckler Boards will also be onsite with free e-bike test rides and offering free advice and safety tips to ensure everyone's rides are in top condition for the season! Learn the essential skills for home repairs, promoting sustainability and self-sufficiency.

Cuppa Tuesdays: South Eveleigh Rooftop Garden

The award-winning South Eveleigh Rooftop Garden will host inspiring talks every Tuesday from 12 to 1 pm. Hear transformative stories from local heroes like Ren Fernando of ReLove, a charity supporting women and children moving out of crisis;  Yasmin London, a communications powerhouse who empowers people by equipping them with the skills and knowledge to ensure technology enhances their modern-day lives; Nik Robinson, who with his son Harry turned single use-plastic into sunglasses; and Rob Caslick of Two Good Co, a social enterprise that supports women who have experienced domestic violence. These talks are an opportunity for families to learn about important social issues and discover ways to make a positive impact in their community.
