The World❜s First Seafloor Resort is Underway in Fiji

Under the sea... under the sea... Darling, it's better, down where it's wetter, under the sea! You know the lyrics, well soon you'll be able to experience the real thing as Fiji is planning the world's first seafloor resort!

Poseidon Underwater Resort has been years in the making and is set to make quite the splash on the international resort scene as it plans to open and will be the first official seafloor resort in the world.

While the world is no stranger to cool underwater hotels (we even have one here in Australia!) the Poseidon Underwater Resort is the first resort in the world to be entirely underwater. The underwater resort in Fiji is set to sit right at the bottom of the seafloor, around 40 feet under the sea in a lagoon off the coast of Fiji. 

The luxurious resort will have plenty of underwater attractions including 25 suites, a spa, a restaurant, bar, gym, spa treatments, dive shop, and even a conference room that doubles as a wedding chapel. 

Above the water will be 51 additional hotel rooms and a number of restaurants and bars, a spa, tennis courts, and a nine-hole golf course.

While we're yet to find out an actual opening date of the Poseidon Underwater Resort, we do know that the incredible resort is the brainchild of L. Bruce Jones, boss of U.S. Submarines, Inc. The design of all the underwater accommodations and buildings are based on passenger submarines, which Poseidon describe as 'statistically the world's safest form of transportation.

Underwater Resort Costs

If you're wondering how much a stay at the Poseidon Underwater Resort will cost, hold onto your hat. A week-long stay at the underwater resort will set you back a cool $15,000! For this, you receive luxurious accommodations in the world's first seafloor resort plus the use of your own personal submarine!
