Lego Flagship Store Builds Empire In Westfield Bondi Junction
Say goodbye to your savings and say hello to more Lego pieces under your feet at night! Sydney's first certified LEGO store has opened in Westfield Bondi Junction (Thursday 21st March, 2019), to make all your kids' dreams comes true.
Much like Melbourne's Legoland Discovery Centre, the store aims to provide a immersive retail experience for kids and adults alike.
Here's What We Know
The massive store is spawled over two levels, offering the brand’s signature ‘pick-a-brick’ wall, which allows you to choose from many combinations of Lego bricks, and provide engraving services and 3D models. The store has drawn inspiration from Sydney landmarks, including a wall mounted LEGO® Opera House and Harbour Bridge mosaic.
Expect larger–than-life bespoke 3D models including a 1.5m shark guy. LEGO® Play tables so kids can play before they buy. And two floors of LEGO® products, including hard-to-find products such as the new LEGO® Mustang set!
Some things just need to be seen to be believed, like the 62,300-brick mural of a Sydney Harbour sunset, which took 282 hours to build.
Brick Birthday Parties
The store also features exciting new LEGO® experiences such as a dedicated area designed specifically for children’s parties – The Brick Cave - and custom LEGO® brick engraving service for personalisation.
Kids can get creative in The Brick Room where kids can build their own creations, the Pick-A-Brick wall, where customers can get exact brick they need and Build-Your-Own Minifigure stations.
The opening of the Westfield Bondi Junction store coincides with the release of the second Lego movie. Find it on level three of Westfield Bondi Junction from the Oxford Street entrance.
Have your slippers ready, parents.
