Sydney food fans, brace yourselves because the iconic Filipino fried-chicken behemoth Jollibee is finally buzzing its way to Aussie shores with the opening of Jollibee Sydney!
After years of talk and rumours, plans are in motion to open the brand's first-ever Australian store in Campbelltown, in Sydney's west, taking over the vacant site of the former Sizzler on Harbord Road alongside Taco Bell and Krispy Kreme.
Jollibee Sets Its Sights on a New Sydney Store
Global fried chicken giant Jollibee is officially opening a new Sydney store in Campbelltown, marking a major moment for Western Sydney's dining game. The new Jollibee Sydney will take over the former Sizzler site on Harbord Road, planting the flag for what's widely considered one of the world's biggest fast-food brands.
If you're new to the hype, Jollibee is the Filipino-born chain with a cult global following, known for its ultra-crispy, juicy Chickenjoy, sweet-style Jolly Spaghetti, loaded Yumburgers and iconic Peach Mango Pie. It's comfort food with personality — bold flavours, big portions and serious fan devotion.
So why is this big news for Sydney? For starters, Western Sydney continues to cement itself as the city's most exciting food hub, and landing Jollibee is a huge cultural win. The brand has long been requested by Australia's Filipino community and food lovers alike, and its arrival reflects Sydney's growing appetite for diverse, globally loved chains.
Is There a Jollibee in Sydney?
Not yet, but watch this space!
While there's no official grand-opening date yet (boo!), development consent is locked in until July 2029, and whispers suggest that fans could be tucking into that fluffy gravy and crispy chicken within the next couple of years if all goes to plan.
