1. Knafeh Sydney

One of the most iconic food trucks in Sydney is the Middle Eastern bakery, Knafeh, which slings delicious Jerusalem street food from the guts of a giant shipping container.

You’ll soon forget about the industrial bones of the trailer and quickly fall under the spell of the crew and merry-bearded bakers dishing up hot Knafeh made with filo pastry and syrup.

Come for the sweet treats and stay for the vibrant drum performance that captures the real essence of an authentic bazaar.

Location: The Knafeh Sydney food truck is currently serving on Belgrave Street in Kogarah from Friday to Sunday, but if you can’t find them there, then check out Knafeh on Instagram.

2. Mister Gee Burger Truck

Mister Gee had us at ‘burger truck’, to be quite frank!

Follow the glow of two neon-lit trucks parked in Haberfield and North Strathfield, respectively, and you’ll find Mister Gee, who has taken the obnoxiously jacked burger to mouth-watering new territories.

With a menu full of ingredients like sriracha-maple mayo, bacon jam, Havarti cheese and gastrique onions, your tastebuds will be spoilt for choice. And if you’ve got eyes bigger than your stomach (don’t we all), why not add some truffle fries and an oreo shake to your order? Go big and roll on home.

Location: Mister Gee has permanent food truck locations at 315 Parramatta Road in Haberfield and in North Strathfield.

3. Scramble & Bean

They say you should start your day as you mean to go on, so why not kick things off with some more-ish breakfast fare and a warm coffee served out of an adorable retro caravan called Scramble & Bean.

One of the most adorable food trucks in Sydney, Scramble & Bean are located in Rushcutters Bay (or available to cater your next event), there are pastries, cakes, eggs on toast and scrumptious toasties on offer, as well as all the caffeine regulars to perk you up.

Grab a picnic rug and watch the bustle of Sydney shuffle through the weekend.

4. Rico’s Taco Truck

If you're looking for food trucks in Sydney serving incredible Mexican cuisine, look no further.

Street food outfits become popular through word of mouth, and the people are practically shouting from the rooftops about Rico’s Taco Truck, tucked away on Mentmore Avenue in Rosebery.

Helmed by Toby Wilson, the team have taken the guesswork out of the menu for you - simply select from a chorizo, braised beef, or cauliflower-filled taco, add on some generous side serves of chips and salsa or black beans and rice, and you’ll be one very satisfied customer.

5. Firepop

A custom-built food truck complete with a charcoal grill is the kind of dedication Firepop brings to ensuring a top-quality experience for their food truck customers.

One of the most sophisticated food trucks in Sydney, Firepop have got smoking skewers down to a fine art. This hi-tech kitchen on wheels can be found serving up delicious BBQ bites - like their lamb with sesame and cumin dukkah - all over Sydney, so be sure to keep up-to-date with their next hotspot via Instagram.

6. Messina Van

Just hearing the word ‘Messina’ is enough to elicit volcanic tummy rumbles and drool from the corners of your mouth.

Not content with simply providing Sydney with delicious gelato from their 14 stores dotted across the city, the Messina team have now loaded their icy treats into the back of a food truck, and they’re coming to you - wherever you may be!

You can find the ‘cream of your dreams’ Messina Van at Bondi Beach on weekends, but in the past, they’ve been known to zoom far and wide. You could be clutching a Red Velvet special of cream cheese gelato with red velvet cake before you know it.
