A Simple Swap with a Big Impact
This new packaging is designed to make everyday routines more sustainable without adding extra effort to your day. By switching from traditional plastic formats to paper-based packs, Finish is set to remove up to 48 tonnes of plastic2 each year. Four Years in the Making

The challenge was striking the perfect balance between durability and recyclability. The packaging needed to protect the tablets from moisture while still meeting Australia’s kerbside recycling requirements. The result is a pack that performs just as well as its predecessor, without the plastic.
Malgorzata Herman, R&D Packaging Innovation Manager at Reckitt, says the breakthrough represents more than just new packaging. “This is a true testament to perseverance, partnership, and our commitment to driving meaningful environmental progress,” she explains.

Sustainability is only half the story. Finish has paired its new packaging with an upgraded formula across the Ultimate Plus range, delivering its best clean on tough stains.
There is no need to pre-rinse, which means less water use and more time saved. From baked-on lasagne trays to greasy frypans, the enhanced tablets are designed to tackle stubborn mess with ease while maintaining Finish’s signature diamond standard clean.
