Emu Hall: A Historic Homestead Transforms Into Western Sydney's Hottest Dining Emporium
Originally built as a family home way back in 1852 by prominent Penrith local James ‘Toby’ Ryan, Emu Hall is a restored historic house on the shores of the Nepean River at the base of the Blue Mountains, with views over the waterway and the Yandhai Nepean Crossing.
Now, 168 years later, this iconic Western Sydney homestead has undergone a stunning makeover to become a modern landmark for a new generation with a cafe, restaurant, bar and beer garden. With striking interiors and lush outdoor spaces, the venue also retains some unique character heritage features including the original large windows and French doors.
With an extensive range of contemporary cuisine - from Acai bowls to Nutella waffles, big Aussie breakfasts to The Pita Stand middle-eastern kebab, and barista coffee to stupendous shakes - and a prime riverside location, Emu Hall is making its mark as Penrith's latest and greatest place to be and a must-visit family-friendly destination, perfect for whiling away a Spring day.
Winners of the Most Outstanding Restaurant Award in Penrith's Local Business Awards, the Emu Hall dining experience delivers delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with award winning chefs at the helm. The Bar & Kitchen serves up signature cocktails, woodfired pizza and cool summer vibes in the relaxed beer garden and Australian Cafe Of The Year, XS Espresso, brings smooth Campos coffee, award-winning shakes and a mouthwatering menu of fusion dishes to the collection.
They host All You Can Eat Mondays - order all the pizza and pasta you want every Monday night between 5pm-9:30pm - and Friday Furries where pups can frolic in the grassy area and lap up a puppuccino while you enjoy brunch. They also have extra tables set up on the grass area, perfect for play dates and Mother’s Groups
Emu Hall Bar + Kitchen is located at 2/26 Great Western Highway, Emu Plains. To see what's on and make a reservation visit Emu Hall.
