Darling Harbour is shaking things up this spring, saying goodbye (for now) to its famous fireworks and hello to a sparkling new sky show.

For four Saturday nights in September, the harbour will be transformed by a stunning drone display that’s free for everyone to enjoy.

Fireworks Out, Drones In: Darling Harbour Lights Up in a Whole New Way

Set against the gorgeous backdrop of Cockle Bay, hundreds of choreographed drones will take to the skies in two colourful, 10-minute performances at 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm, celebrating the energy and vibrancy of spring.

It’s the same show each week, so you can pick the Saturday that suits you best—or go more than once if you can’t get enough!

With more than 150 bars, cafes and restaurants around the harbour, it’s the perfect excuse to turn the evening into a night out.

For prime views, head to Cockle Bay Wharf and settle in with dinner or a drink as the sky comes alive.
