The Best Saturday Markets in Brisbane

1. The Mummy Tree Markets

The Mummy Tree Markets are a boutique family market held at various locations around Brisbane and for the rest of 2022, the Saturday markets will be held at Sanctuary Cove Shopping Centre. They're known for their high-quality and unique products including clothes and household knick-knacks. Kids are entertained by a wide variety of entertainers including music, singing, face-painting, balloon animals, games, prizes and even a jumping castle!

When: Select Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm

2. Jan Powers Farmers Markets 

Everyone knows that Jan Powers is the queen of Saturday markets in Brisbane, and if you want to please the children, our pick is definitely the Powerhouse Farmers Markets. An icon of Brisbane’s food scene, the Jan Powers Farmers Markets are synonymous with championing local produce with putting farmers front and centre, where they belong. Held right next door to New Farm Park, you can do a bit of shopping and grab a great coffee, and then the children can play to their heart's content. Everyone is a winner! Bonus points if you head back to the Powerhouse for lunch by the river. 

When: Every Saturday from 6 am to noon.

3. Eat Street Markets

The Eat Street Markets started over six years ago and were such a massive hit they had to redevelop the venue to be able to take the Brisbane crowds! Now, the Eat Street Markets is a massive riverside centre of family, food and fun. Heaving with great live music, street performers, fun culinary treats from all over the world and stalls full of wonder - all running out of colourful shipping containers! - if you don't mind a crowd, there's loads of fun to be had at Eat Street Markets. Take $3 in cash each for entry; kids 12 and under are FREE.

When: Friday and Saturday 4 pm to 10 pm, Sunday 12 pm to 8 pm.

4. The Black Market

If you like your produce to be fresh, fresh, fresh, then do all your weekly shopping at The Black Market. Located in an industrial estate in Albion, The Black Market is one of the most frequented Saturday markets in Brisbane for good reason. The open-air farmers market showcases the best of the best fresh local produce, incredible baked goods, artisan coffee, beautiful blooms and loads more for visiting families. Tip: The Black Market also hosts the most delicious food trucks on Friday nights from 5 pm.

When: Saturdays and Sundays from 7 am to noon.

5. Her Wardrobe Fashion Market

Touted as the best and busiest Saturday markets in Brisbane, Her Wardrobe Fashion Market also has a kids' and babies' section where you can find your kids some incredible designer bargains. Come and shop from over 10,000 new and pre-loved items and pick up some great deals for the kids - and perhaps a little sumthin'-sumthin' for yourself while you're there!

6. Eumundi Markets

Queensland's most famous Saturday market is actually open Wednesdays and Saturdays and is Australia's biggest craft market to date! So if you don't mind travelling a couple of hours out of town for a splendid Saturday perusing 600 plus stalls under the picturesque fig trees, then Eumundi Markets is calling your name. Every stallholder at the iconic market 'makes, bakes, grows or sews' their wares, so this is a real-deal genuine artisan market.  

7. Manly Farmers Market

If Saturdays are often spent spoiling your four-legged family members, then let them join in on the market meandering fun at Manly Farmers Market. The Saturday market welcomes dogs on leashes and is famous for its incredibly fresh and incredible delicious seafood. The location along the waterfront doesn't hurt either!

When: Every first and third Saturday of the month from 6 am to noon
Where: Manly Harbour Royal Esplanade, Manly. Between Cambridge & Cardigan Parades
