Your Photo Could Be in Homes Across the City

Thirteen winning images will be selected to feature in Blacktown's 2027 Community Calendar, making it the first calendar shaped entirely by the local community. It is a fantastic opportunity to have your work seen by over 100,000 households across the region.

Selected photographers can also choose to have their social media handles or website included alongside their image, giving their creative work a valuable platform and a wider audience.

What Can You Submit?

The competition is open to a wide range of subject matter, as long as it is photographed within Blacktown City.

  • Scenic landscapes and sunsets
  • Favourite local hangouts
  • Community events and gatherings
  • Hidden gems and neighbourhood moments

However, there is one key requirement - all images must be submitted in landscape orientation to be considered for the calendar.

  • Open to Australian residents and permanent citizens aged 13 and over
  • Amateur photographers are encouraged to enter
  • Entry is completely free
  • Multiple entries are allowed, with each photo submitted separately
