If your kids are into golf - or if they're interested in trying it - these holiday programs give them the chance to learn some great driving and putting skills, and take part in competitions and challenges. It's open to kids aged 4-14, with the groups split into younger ones and older ones. What do you get when you combine swimming and tennis into one massive holiday camp? Exhausted but happy kids! Kids aged 5-12 can choose from a fun, activities based tennis approach, or a tournament where they can test their skills. Either way, they'll be cooling off afterwards with a swim at Ferny Hills pool.

Coast Club
Choose the Gold or Sunshine coast and send your kids off for a day that could include abseiling, canoeing, rock climbing or caving (some activities are location-dependent). The camps are government-run and are open to kids aged 8 and over. If you don't want to let the kids have all the fun, parents are also welcome to join in. You can join a half day (3 hours) or full day (6 hours) program.

Outward Bound

The Young Explorer school holiday at Outward Bound is an immersive, 5-day experience for teens aged 12-14. They'll take part in high ropes, raft building, orienteering, hiking and much more, building resilience and encouraging them to explore their potential. Trained instructors faciltated everything to ensure it's a positive experience for all. This is a great option if you're keen to get your teen away from their screen for a week.

YMCA Vacation Care
YMCA have developed a great outside school hours care (OSHC) program that they run at various locations all over Brisbane, so if you're working over the holidays and need somewhere safe and fun to send your kids, this could be your answer. Run by trained and experienced professionals, the YMCA program provides a nurturing environment with a range of fun activities that will make your kids think they're going for fun, not because you're busy and need them taken care of. Activities vary from venue to venue, but may include: cooking, drama, sports, art and craft, music and singing, puzzles and games.
