Held on Saturday 20 June 2026 for the winter solstice, this one-day street festival takes over Katoomba with markets, music, street performers, kids' activities, workshops, interactive displays and the much-loved Grand Parade, which is basically permission to dress the whole family like forest sprites, wizards or whatever was clean in the costume box. Add food stalls, local art, dancing, buskers and fireworks over the Carrington Hotel to finish, and you've got a free, community-powered winter festival that feels equal parts cosy, creative and gloriously odd.

Rug up, arrive early and prepare for at least one child to ask why every weekend can't involve capes.
