There's nothing quite like unique and handmade for Christmas gifts, and the best thing is that this time of year, Melbourne is overrun with such goodies in all the holiday-themed markets in the leadup to the festive season.

You can get literally anything you can think of: gourmet food, delicate handmade jewellery, clothing, toys, furniture, knick knacks, crockery, linen, outdoor items... if you want it, a market in Melbourne will have it! And there won't be the dreaded double-up on Christmas morning where you end up giving someone something they already have two of. Gifts with meaning AND supporting small business? That's what Christmas is all about!
