It certainly is the most wonderful time of the year when you can binge-watch all the corny Christmas movies you want without any guilt. Watching cheesy Christmas movies is one of the greatest Christmas traditions around and is now even easier to do thanks to TV subscription services. So, if you subscribe to Netflix, Stan or both (guilty!), here are all the best Chrissie movies to watch before 2019 comes to a close.

Love Actually (Stan)

What did we watch before Love Actually? The iconic Christmas love story centres on multiple love stories and is a timeless classic not just at Christmas time.

Klaus (Netflix)

One to watch with the kids, Klaus is a humorous and heart-warming tale that follows Jesper and his quest to bring an end to a long-standing feud in the town of Smeerensburg with the help of toy-maker Klaus.

Elf (Stan & Netflix)

A Christmas movie Hall-Of-Famer, Elf stars Will Ferrell as Buddy, a real-life elf from the North Pole who travels to New York to cause some hilarious Christmas chaos.

Christmas With The Kranks (Stan)

If you’ve ever dreamt of skipping out on a Christmas at home and relaxing on a tropical island, you’re not the only one. Luther and Nora Krank try to forgo their Christmas responsibilities for one year to head to the Caribbean but it doesn’t go over well with their family and friends.

Shrek The Halls (Netflix)

Your favourite irritable ogre at Christmas time – yes please! Shrek The Halls follows all of your favourite Shrek characters putting a comical spin on Christmas traditions.

Four Holidays (Netflix)

Four Holidays stars Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, another couple who plan to skip out on Christmas in favour of a tropical island but sadly get caught out and have to spend Christmas with both of their kooky families.

The Knight Before Christmas (Netflix)

One for all the hopeless romantics, The Knight Before Christmas follows Vanessa Hudgens as she falls in love with her Knight in shining armour and what happens when she tries to help him return to medieval times.

Miracle On 34th Street (Netflix)

In Miracle On 34th Street, we meet another Santa sceptic, Susan Walker who questions whether the man her mother hires to be a Macy’s Kris Kringle for Christmas is the real Santa Claus.

Bad Moms 2: A Bad Moms Christmas (Stan)

If you’re a mum who finds the Christmas period particularly stressful, you will certainly get a kick out of watching tired, cranky and overworked mums Amy, Kiki and Carla try to navigate the crazy season unscathed.

The Christmas Chronicles (Netflix)

The brilliant enigma that is Santa Claus has gone on long enough according to siblings Kate and Teddy, who hatch a plan to capture the man in red but things go hilariously awry.

Arthur Christmas (Netflix)

Another cartoon classic to watch with the kids, Arthur Christmas takes a behind-the-scenes looks at just how Santa Klaus manages to deliver all those gifts in just one night, and what happens when gifts get misplaced.
