VELA Spa & Bathhouse has officially opened in the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley, bringing mineral pools, steamy saunas, indulgent spa treatments and even a Champagne Bar to one seriously dreamy wellness destination.

Opened in September 2026, VELA is a stunning reinvention of the much-loved Villa Thalgo Day Spa. Set among eight hectares of landscaped gardens at Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley, the adults-only sanctuary combines contemporary wellness experiences with peaceful surroundings, making it the ultimate destination for a relaxing day trip or romantic weekend away.

What's Inside VELA Spa & Bathhouse?

At the heart of VELA is its luxurious bathhouse, where guests can move between warm and cold bathing experiences at their own pace.

The impressive facilities include magnesium-enriched mineral pools, a traditional Nordic sauna, steam room, infrared sauna, invigorating cold plunge and outdoor barrel sauna. There's also a dedicated hydrotherapy pool and beautiful relaxation spaces where you can simply switch off and soak up the serenity.

The full bathhouse circuit is designed around contrast therapy, alternating between hot and cold temperatures, with plenty of opportunities to unwind in between.

Indulgent Spa Treatments and Float Therapy

If soaking in mineral pools isn't quite enough pampering, VELA also offers an extensive menu of luxury spa treatments.

Choose from soothing relaxation massages, aromatherapy treatments, advanced facials, body scrubs and signature spa rituals designed to leave you feeling completely refreshed.

For something extra special, VELA is also introducing private float therapy suites featuring warm, salt-rich pools beneath twinkling, star-inspired ceilings. Float therapy bookings are coming soon, so check availability before planning your visit.

A Champagne Bar and Luxury Dining

Because no indulgent spa day is complete without a little something delicious, VELA also features its own Champagne Bar and relaxed dining experiences.

When: Open daily. Bathhouse: Monday to Saturday, 7 am-9 pm; Sunday, 10 am-5 pm. Spa treatments: Monday to Saturday, 9 am-6 pm; Sunday, 10 am-5 pm.

Cost: Two-hour bathhouse sessions start from $75 per person Monday to Thursday and $89 Friday to Sunday. Spa treatments and overnight packages are priced separately.
