Hijinx Hotel Sydney is the World's First Challenge Room Hotel

When you "check-in" at the concierge, you'll enter a kooky elevator that bounces its way to a labyrinth of 15 themed challenge rooms, each more outrageous than the last.
 

What's a challenge room, you ask? At Hijinx Hotel Alexandria, they've designed an escape room crossed with your favourite nostalgic games from your childhood. You might find yourself wading through a giant cereal bowl ball pit, gingerly stepping over a "lava" floor, or trying your best at Twister in a neon-lit polka dot world. You have only four minutes per room to tackle mental or physical challenges, so get ready to think fast, dodge obstacles, and rack up points.

What to Expect at Sydney's Hijinx Hotel

The Hijinx Hotel is indoor fun for ages 5 and over but be warned—you're here for a challenge! 

Expect over-the-top experiences in rooms like the Cereal Ball Room and the Titanic Room, which bring on all the fun and a dash of stress, too—thanks to the hotel's voice warning you when your time's almost up. Visitors have the option of playing 5, 10 or 15 games, totalling around two hours to complete the course. 

Each room packs a punch with a different vibe, from retro carnival themes to surreal art installations, making Hijinx Hotel an unforgettable adventure through fantastical rooms that push you to dive in, play hard, and embrace the challenge!

The Bar

It'll certainly be time for a feed or beverage after you've played hard! The Hijinx Bar serves a full menu of delicious feeds, including pizzas, tacos, burgers, platters, and sides, plus loads of killer cocktails.

Keen to keep the good times rolling? Hijinx is located in the same complex as Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq so you can stop off for bowling, arcade games, and more, that is if you've got any energy left!
