Gunnamatta Bay

Gunnamatta is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘sandy hills’ and this hidden gem is a great swimming spot for very young kids. The water is calm and enclosed, there’s a playground nearby and lots of grass to sit in and shade to protect tender skin.

The Gunnamatta Bay Tidal Baths are a netted swimming area perfect for young kids to have a paddle in.

There are also a kiosk, handy changerooms, shaded areas and toilets. If you're looking for a great coffee, head over the road to Mint Organics where everything is preservative- and chemical-free.
