Yoga In The Beautiful Surrounds Of The State Library
- Tue Feb 05 - Tue Feb 19 2019
- From: $20.00
Come and salute the sun in the Library! Start your morning by combining movement, art and breath in our new galleries.
Rachael Coopes partners with the Library to lead a series of yoga classes in the Library’s stunning gallery space.
Surrounded by stories of the past, we’ll dive into some of yoga philosophy’s greatest stories and myths – while moving through a slow, juicy asana class. From Arjuna’s dilemma on the battlefields of The Bhagavad Gita, to the great leap of faith taken by Hanuman, these stories are varied, rich in symbolism and unravel some of life’s deepest contemplations.
Whether you’re interested in stories, philosophy, or simply a physical yoga practice, this event is a rare opportunity to move, breath and flow in a beautiful, iconic space. Suitable for both beginners and experienced yogis alike - everyone is welcome at Yoga in the Library. Please BYO yoga mat and water bottle.
Rachael Coopes is a yoga teacher, Play School presenter, and storyteller.
Where: State Library, Paintings Exhibition, Level 1, Macquarie Street, Sydney
