Discover the wonderful world of gardening in the winter school holidays at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.

The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney has a great winter school holiday program designed to get your kids engaged in the natural world and learn the basics of gardening, all in the heart of the city.

Food doesn’t just come from the supermarket. In their Kids’ Veggie Patch class, they will help children explore the world of gardening, and discover how food grows from the smallest of seeds to the meals on your dining table. Learn how to grow veggies and take home your very own starter kit to create a wonderful vegetable patch at home.

For more gardening focused activities, they also have their all-day Garden Grubs workshop. This action-packed day is a family favourite, filled with fun and adventures for the kids. As well as garden events, they have arts & crafts, Garden tours, ‘behind the scenes’ opportunities and lots of games lined up to keep the kids entertained all day long. They also have 20% off the second child when you book!

Discover the importance of native Australian wildlife to your garden through their interactive theatre event. City Slicker Critters is a hilarious production that will make its way through the Garden, asking weird and wonderful questions, like why do bees have smelly feet?
