Whales Wednesday At The Australian Museum
- Wed Dec 19 2018 - Wed Jan 30 2019
- From: $14.00
In case you missed it, the Whales | Tohorā exhibition at the Australian Museum allows you to get up close and personal with an 18-metre sperm whale, hear a symphony of whale noises in the sound chamber and walk through the heart of a blue whale; and this sweet summer deal will place it firmly at the top of your school holiday activity list.
Discover the giants of the ocean every Wednesday from December 19 until January 30, where you’ll get to bring a friend or kid along to the exhibit free of charge when you purchase one ticket either online or at the museum and give the code ‘Whales Wednesday.’
You’ll get the full experience of the exhibit, which blends science with storytelling. Kids will love uncovering the rich, whale-riding stories and traditions of Maori culture and touching the vertebra of a fin whale, as well as enjoying breathtaking live footage from the deep ocean.
There’s also a special discovery trail with puzzles, craft and learning activities for the kids to follow, as well as self-guided tour you can access through the museum’s app.
Any little animal lover will be enthralled by this exhibition–especially those that also love all-things ocean-related!
