Go on astronomical adventures these holidays at Sydney Observatory, 9 –22 July.
Budding scientists and astronomy enthusiasts can learn about the history of Sydney Observatory these school holidays to mark the 160th anniversary of Australia’s oldest operating observatory. Since June 1858 Sydney Observatory has set the time for ships in Sydney Harbour, charted the night sky and been Sydney’s favourite location for star gazing through telescopes old and new.
Create your own woven star constellation, make your own sun dial, explore how to record weather and learn about the cosmos with activities running daily across the school holidays.
