Visit the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan this Winter school holidays for a great, fun and active day out.

Bring the kids, their scooters or bikes and enjoy the 20km of pathways for a walk, ride or scoot and stop for a picnic lunch. They can burn off some energy at the playground while you relax with a coffee at Melaleuca House Cafe.

Eco Art - School Holiday Workshop

If you love plants and animals, are aged between 5 - 12 years and want to explore your creative side, then this art workshop is for you! Children will play some nature based art games working with a range of art mediums and natural materials to make a series of works to either leave in situ (on site) and to take home.

Ages:     Children 5-12 years (strictly no children under 5 years)

Weaving class 1 & 11

Learn how to identify native plants and how they are utilised by Aboriginal people of Sydney. Join Shared Knowledge weavers and learn how to weave with grasses sourced from the local area.
Book in for both courses and use the opportunity to weave a bigger piece.

Pizza Party In The Bush

Kids will learn all about native Australian plants and how they are used by Aboriginal people. They will put all ingredients together to make your very own yummy pizza, from materials right here in the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan.

Aboriginal Art Class

Learn contemporary Aboriginal art techniques and culture and tap into your creative talents to paint an Aboriginal art-style souvenir of your own, while gaining an understanding of local Aboriginal culture through the stories of traditional culture and customs.

King & Queen of Green

The show explores the topic of landfill and the simple things we can all do at home to reduce the amount of waste. The King and Queen then lead a mini recycling workshop to turn junk into crowns and other royally fabulous jewellery.

Kids vs Wild - Shelter

Join the team of Education Rangers for a morning of survival games, animal tracking and trail making. Make a mud map and follow the nature based treasure hunt whilst having an awesome time out in the Garden.

If you want your chidlren to join for a whole day, book the afternoon Eco Art session and we will supervise the lunch break. (BYO Lunch)

Science of Stick Engineering
