When school’s out, and energy levels are high, the Y NSW School Holiday Programs take the pressure off families. With the right mix of structure, flexibility and fun, our programs give kids something to look forward to - and parents peace of mind.

The Y Vacation Care program offers a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary school-aged children to enjoy a variety of activities each day.

From creative play and outdoor adventures to exciting incursions and excursions, children can build friendships, try new things and stay active during the school holidays.

Two Ways to Holiday with the Y NSW

The Y NSW offers two program streams designed to suit all children.

Vacation Care

Running across more than 20 OSHC services throughout NSW, The Y NSW Vacation Care is ideal for families who need reliable, full-day care during the school holidays. Each week is packed with exciting excursions, hands-on workshops and themed day camps!

Delivered by qualified educators in safe, familiar settings, Vacation Care supports primary school-aged children to build friendships, confidence and independence - while parents enjoy dependable holiday care.

Recreation School Holiday Programs

For kids who love to move, The Y NSW Recreation School Holiday Programs are all about active fun. Held at Y recreation centres across NSW, these programs focus on skill-building, confidence and enjoyment through sport and movement.

Programs on offer include:

• Gymnastics programs 
• Swimming intensives at Y aquatic centres to build technique and water confidence
• Sports programs including soccer, netball and more
• Multi-sport and gymnastics programs at selected centres, including Penrith

Programs are tailored to different ages and abilities, making them suitable for beginners through to confident movers.

Child Care Subsidy

As a not-for-profit provider, the Y NSW works hard to keep the cost of care low to ensure all children can access high-quality early learning. They are an approved provider of the Child Care Subsidy for Out of School Hours Care (OSHC), available to eligible families.
