Collaborative art project (over four sessions)
Everyone is invited to add their bit to the libraries beautiful, growing artwork. They are making a giant wall mural in the JB Fairfax Learning Centre and need your help! This cool group project, over four sessions, needs your drawing input. You will add to a mural that will begin with one of the beautiful natural science illustrations of Australian natural history artist Helena Scott. Get some tips for your work in the workshops on Tuesday 7 and Friday 10 July with Andrea and Susan. Then you get to draw and vibrantly colour or construct your own version of a flower, leaves and vines, or garden creature — a bug, a caterpillar, a spider in its web, or a bird.

Then you can take a good close-up picture of it and send it in to the library at: [email protected] and they will print it and add it to the mural. You will get to see the finished mural during the after-party session on Friday 17 July at 2 pm. Send in images of as many different creations as you like!
