From parades and traditional music to lively street parties and family-friendly fun, this year's St. Patrick’s Day festivities promise an unforgettable experience. Across multiple days, The Rocks will come alive with entertainment, cultural showcases, and, of course, plenty of Guinness to go around. Race you there!

St Patrick’s Day at The Rocks 2025

Here's what you can expect from this mega, family-friendly celebration of all things Emerald Isle. 

Thursday, March 13:

• Free Outdoor Cinema: Enjoy a special screening of the comedy-drama crime thriller 'In Bruges' at the St. Patrick's Day Outdoor Cinema. Doors open at 5.30 pm, and the movie starts at 7.00 pm. 

Saturday, March 15:

• The Call of Ireland Showcase: Experience a lively celebration of traditional Irish music at First Fleet Park from 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm. This over-18s event features live performances, a bar, food trucks, and merchandise.

Sunday, March 16:

• St. Patrick's Day Parade: The parade starts at 11.00 am, starting from Martin Place (Pitt Street) and weaving through Sydney's streets, showcasing vibrant floats and electrifying performances.

• Festival Activities: From 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, enjoy a day full of live music, world-class Irish dancing, Irish language lessons, crafts, face-painting, bars, food stalls, and much more at First Fleet Park, MCA Lawn, and Bligh & Barney Reserve.

• Mercantile Hotel Street Party: Join the festivities at The Mercantile Hotel's street party, featuring live bands and entertainment from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm. Tickets include a breakfast roll from Shay the Irish Butcher, with $10 from each ticket donated to Irish organisations.

Throughout the Festival:

• Pub Celebrations: Iconic pubs like The Orient, The Glenmore, and The Mercantile Hotel will host special events, including live Irish music, traditional food, and, of course, plenty of Guinness.

• Family-Friendly Activities: Bligh & Barney Reserve will host children's entertainment, including Irish dance displays, language lessons, face-painting, art and craft tents, and magic shows.
