Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre - Winter School Holiday Programs 2022

Dive into these Winter School holidays at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. With their pool set to 27 degrees, it's the perfect place to get off the couch to burn off some energy!

The Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre is back in full-swing. You can again enjoy Splasher's Playground, the whirlpool and more for recreational swimming with all the family.

Diving Clinic

Practice your diving skills on our world class diving tower at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

The clinic will cover basic acrobatics and stretching. The coach will also go through how to safely dive into the water, and the TYO arm positioning when entering the water. Participants will practice off the edge of the pool before progressing to the 1m platform and then 3m platform depending on skill and ability.

What to bring

• Swimmers
• Cap and goggles (not essential)
• Towel
• Water

Session Times

• 9.30am - 11am
• 11am - 12.30pm
• 1pm - 2.30pm

Note: Children must be 5yrs and older (must be able to swim 25m without assistance in deep water)

Water Polo Clinic

Come along and join our reputable coaches and learn a new skill!

The clinic will cover treading water, water polo freestyle and backstroke, ball handling, throwing and catching, defending and jumping. The clinic will finish with a short game to practice the rules of water polo.

What to bring

• Swimmers
• Cap and goggles (not essential)
• Towel
• Water

Session Times

• 10am - 11.30am
• 11.30am - 1pm

When:     5, 12, 14 July 2022  
Cost:       $30 per session

Swimming Intensive Program

Swimming is an essential skill for all children; help your child become safe and confident in the water with one of our fully qualified Austswim instructors. Give your child the confidence to get to the next level in swimming. 

Learn to Swim - Preschool & School Age

• These are available between 8am - 12pm (half hour classes)
• An excellent alternative for those who cannot attend regular weekly lessons during the term.
• Attendance is Monday – Friday (receive intensive instructions on all aspects of swimming).
• An excellent tool to assist children with the strokes they may be having difficulty with, which may be preventing them from moving up a level.
• Children may attend one week or both weeks.
• Preschool and School Age levels include: Frogs, Seahorse, Stingray, Sealion and Seal.

Private lesson

• These are available between 8am – 9am (half hour classes)
• Our instructors will assist you in achieving individual goals.
• All abilities are catered for, children must be of school age.
• One on one private lessons or if requested a group private (for example a group of friends or family members) can be arranged. However if students are of differing swimming ability we recommend that you book one on one private lessons for maximum benefit.

Cost:       LTS $95, Private, $235 per child for 1 on 1 and $185 per child for 2 on 1.

All Day Recreational Program 

Our all day program is bound to entertain your children these school holidays with activities in a variety of sports, art, and science and team games. Each day your children will also get the opportunity to have some fun in our Splashes Playground with our qualified AUSTSWIM instructors. This Program is designed for children aged 5-12.

What to bring

• Enclosed shoes are compulsory
• Water
• Hat
• Morning tea, lunch and afternoon
• Swimmers
• Towel
• Goggles if required
• Spare change of clothes
• Positive attitude

*During the major capital works there will be no access to Splashes Playground. Not to worry we have programmed some fun sporting activities, with swimming days for our Diving, Water Polo and Synchronised Swimming Clinics.

 Definition

• Tee Ball Clinic - Practicing throwing, catching and batting skills. We will then see how these skills pull up in an actual game!
• Kick Ball - A modified game of baseball, our instructors will go through running and fielding skills. Then we’ll see who will take out the gold with a game!
• Cricket Clinic  -This clinic will go through skills in batting and fielding. We will then see how these skills pull up in an actual game!
• Soccer Clinic - At Bicentennial Park our instructors will go through fun soccer games and drills.

When:     4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 July 2022, Drop Off: 8am - 9am and Pick Up: 4.30pm - 5pm
