Sydney Irish Festival 2018 With Paw Patrol and Bananas in Pyjamas

  • Sat Nov 10 - Sun Nov 11 2018
  • Family
  • From: $29.00

Celebrate all things Gaelic at the inaugural Sydney Irish Festival at Sydney Showground in November.

On stage will be family favourites, Nick Jr.’s PAW Patrol and Bananas in Pyjamas and culminates in the Wild Geese Trophy. This will be given to the winners of Australia’s newest international sporting event, between Kilkenny and All Ireland champions, Galway. This competitive Hurling game will take place on the final day of the Sydney Irish Festival and is the first time a full format Hurling game will have been played outside Ireland.

Headlining the Davis Amphitheatre Family Stage on Saturday, 10 November will be Nick Jr.’s PAW Patrol Show featuring rescue pups, Chase and Marshall, along with their tech-savvy, two-legged friend, Ryder. As they say, "no job is too big, no pup is too small," and Nick Jr.’s PAW Patrol will be working together with the Sydney Irish Festival to make sure there’s plenty of laughter and fun.

On Saturday, 10 November the Hordern Spring Stage will be headlined by Ireland’s own, Damien Dempsey, Lúnasa, Mary Black and Saint Sister.

Day two on Sunday 11 November will commence with the Big Irish Brunch, more family friendly activities, hurling clinics and live music in the buildup to the pre-game welcome parade of the teams into the stadium, before the teams take the field for tip-off at 3.30pm.

The Sydney Irish Festival will also feature traditional Irish dance performances, market stalls, comedy, face painting, marching bands, buskers, amusement rides, player autograph sessions, activities for kids of all ages right across the weekend.
