Sydney Festival 2022

One of Australia’s largest cultural celebrations, Sydney Festival will bring the city together with a thought-provoking program lineup of more than 140 events across three weeks from 6 to 30 January 2022.

What's on at Sydney Festival 2022

As well as a huge range of inspiring talks, panels and workshops for adults, Sydney Festival 2022 is also catering to kids and families. Highlights of the program include:

Airship Orchestra - The kids won't want to miss these giant, inflatable, musical beings! Airship Orchestra is an interactive and multi-sensory installation by Melbourne-based art and technology studio ENESS.

Erth's Prehistoric Picnic - Get ready to go back in time (65 million years to be precise!) and go walking with dinosaurs in Parramatta Park and the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney. Erth, Sydney's world-famous dinosaur recreationist will be bringing the big fellas into Sydney for a roarsome good time at the Sydney Festival 2022. 

Sydney Symphony Under the Stars - Celebrate the start of a new year with a magical night of music under the stars. The Sydney Symphony will be belting out symphonic classics from the 18th century and beyond under a magical night sky for one night only on 23 January. This is a FREE family-friendly event.

Fluffy Art Installation - If the kids love messing about with paper at home, bring them along to a crafty art exhibition dedicated solely to paper! Artbomb Australia is bringing a fluttering wonderland of swirling, pouring shredded paper in Fluffy, an interactive family show and free play environment.
