Sydney Living Museums’ Spring program is full of fun experiences to educate and entertain the kids and enjoy as a family!

From bush tucker workshops to art making, Boomerang throwing to story-telling – there’s something to suit the interests of every child.

Kids in the Garden at Elizabeth Farm and Vaucluse House
Come for a tasting tour of Elizabeth Farm or Vaucluse House these school holidays. Hunt for edible flowers in the kitchen garden and try your hand at creating your own refreshing iced tea spring drink.  At the end of the program, you’ll sit in the gardens with your refreshing spring delights!

Playing Shop at Susannah Place Museum
Do you know how to wrap an egg, weigh out goods on a scale or count in pounds and shillings?
Children become shopkeepers and get behind the counter of Susannah Place Museum’s re-created c1915 corner shop during this gorgeous school holiday program.

Boomerang Art and Throw at Rouse Hill House & Farm
Come to Rouse Hill House & Farm to meet the staff from Muru Mittigar, paint a boomerang and experience the ancient art of boomerang throwing in our beautiful bush setting.

Morning Kites at Rouse Hill House & Farm
Come to Rouse Hill House & Farm and spend our opening hour flying kites before embarking on your day’s adventures! There’s loads of stuff to do. You can help feed the farm animals, take a tour around the house and gardens, and go back in time for a schoolhouse experience.

Rouse Hill House & Farm in LEGO® Bricks
Marvel at the amazing models of the iconic Rouse Hill House and farm buildings constructed from LEGO® bricks with breathtaking architectural detail and accuracy by the Southern Hemisphere’s only LEGO®-certified professional, Australia’s Ryan McNaught. Then create your own LEGO farm to add to the display.

Make a Story. Tell a Story at Meroogal
Be inspired by the Meroogal Women’s Arts Prize exhibition inside the historic house and real-life stories from the past. With guidance from local exhibiting artists, make an artwork using recycled materials, plasticine and Playfoam to take home .
