Vaucluse Amateur 12 foot Sailing Club is running kids learn to sail classes on Sunday mornings throughout Term 4. 

Coaching sessions run for two hours on Sunday mornings. The goal is for kids to complete a course level in one term. We have programs for beginners to experienced fleet racers. The Sunday Run Sheet details the times for each course.

This small local club is a great place to learn new skills or perfect existing ones.


Course participants can register as club members or non-members.  

All equipment, boats and instructors are provided. The courses are acrredited as the school is a registered Australian Sailing Discover Sailing Centre. If your child is new to sailing they will learn boat handling skills that will allow them to sail small boats, build their confidence and water awareness.

The club's classes and camps are ideal for children aged 7-16 years old—although the club does accept enrolment of 6-year-olds if they are confident swimmers. Children will need to provide their own lifejacket - but the school can point you in the direction of where to buy one.

Cancellations & Refunds

Courses will run come rain, hail, or shine. If the weather is not suitable for sailing then onshore activities will be arranged, either in the club house or on Kutti Beach.

Vaucluse Sailing Club have to commit to coaches they are not able to offer any refunds for cancellations, partial or otherwise, from 72 hours prior to course commencement.

When:     Course dates: 9/10, 16/10, 23/10, 30/10, 6/11, 13/11, 20/11, 27/11
Time:       8:30am - 10:30am lesson (arrive at 8am to be ready for an 8:30am start)
Cost:       Members start at $440 for members and $565 for non-members for all 8 week courses.
Age:        Ideal for children aged 7-16 years old. Enrolment of 6 year olds accepted if confident swimmers.

*Active Kids vouchers are accepted, so make sure you use your Active Kids Voucher if you haven't already!
