Book a FREE Trial for Term 1 at Ready Steady Go Kids - Australia’s largest multi-sport and exercise program for preschoolers (aged 1.5–6 years).
Each Ready Steady Go Kids class is run indoors for a duration of 45 minutes, and they cover five sports per term. Their classes are designed to focus on a specific gross motor, hand-eye/foot-eye and/or balance activity to complement the sport component and their program structure is repeated each week so that participants become familiar and comfortable with the routine.
To ensure that every participant receives a high level of attention and support, they maintain a low instructor to student ratio. Their instructors have (as a minimum) a Level 1 Coaching qualification under the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme from the Australian Sports Commission, a current working with children check and extensive experience in teaching preschool-aged children.
Get Ready group (1.5-2.5 years): This interactive 30-minute class gives toddlers the opportunity to practise their motor skills in a play-oriented environment. Classes focus on developing toddlers' gross motor skills by incorporating activities such as stretching, jumping, running and ball control. Ten different sports are introduced over 2 terms, each of which are taught for 2 weeks at a time.
Ready group (2.5-3 years): An introduction to sport in fun, team-based non-competitive environment. The concepts taught are basic and the time spent on each activity is limited in order to maintain the attention of students.
Steady group (3-4 years): Participants are more easily able to listen to and follow instructions and as such a greater focus is placed upon development of gross motor skills (through both locomotor and non-locomotor activities), fine motor skills (through hand-eye and foot-eye activities) and balance and posture.
Go group (4-6 years): This group is more advanced with a significantly faster pace of teaching and more challenging activities introduced. Time is spent refining existing skills and there is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the sports covered in the program.
