Plan for a Winter Adventure at Scenic World

Soak up the ethereal vibes as you walk along the 500m boardwalk, a gentle 10-minute walk between the Railway and Cableway stations. Or if you’re looking to warm up those legs a little more, there’s also a 30-minute or 50-minute boardwalk track that takes you further along the rainforest valley floor. Keep your eyes peeled for lyrebirds scratching in the leaves, native birds, and a vast array of native trees and plants.

To ascend from the valley, catch the Railway or Cableway back to the main building. Once up top, you can view a whole new perspective from the Scenic Skyway, suspended 270 metres above the ancient ravine below. View the entire grandeur of the Jamison Valley, the majestic Katoomba Falls and the spectacular rock formations of the Three Sisters in the distance. On the Unlimited Discovery Pass, you can catch the rides as many times as you like in a single day.

Beyond Skyway is a world-first experience that takes guests to new and unexplored heights on the rooftop of the Skyway cable car in the Blue Mountains. Once on the roof, with nothing to restrict the 360-degree view, the immersive experience is both exhilarating and completely serene.

An intimate adventure, catering to only four guests (ages 10 and up) at a time, the Beyond Skyway experience sets off from Scenic World in Katoomba. Each group travels out with the Beyond Skyway crew on the iconic Scenic Skyway to the middle of the Jamison Valley, 270m above the ancient rainforest canopy below. Guests are fitted with full-body harnesses and climb up the ladder, through the hatch in the roof and out into the open air of the cabin’s rooftop.

Take in the majestic Katoomba Falls, The Three Sisters, Mount Solitary and many other landmarks of the Jamison Valley from a whole new perspective as the setting sun creates a kaleidoscope of colours across the horizon. It’s like being on a floating lookout, offering a rare 360-degree view of the Blue Mountains.
