Parramatta Winterlight 2019

Get your skates on and glide into a magical winter wonderland at the heritage-listed Prince Alfred Square, Parramatta for Winterlight 2019! Enjoy 17 fun-filled days at one of Sydney’s biggest winter festivals, complete with a range of family-friendly activities. 

Test your moves on the 7NEWS Ice Rink, the largest open-air rink in Sydney, or take your little ones on a skating adventure during dedicated kids’ sessions. There’s more to experience on the ice side of life as you slide your way down an elevated ice slide.

For the first time this year, Market Street will come alive with stalls offering a range of artisan products from Parramatta and Greater Sydney. Among the vendors are Red Lauren, Elements Clothing, Finding Fi, Shivi Palod, Social Canvas, Noble Threads Co., Parra Clay Pottery, Bodhi Tree Skin care and Earthie. Market goers will be able to browse and purchase unique locally made products, including clothing, jewellery, candles, pottery and artwork. Be sure to drop by and see what our talented and creative stallholders have to offer. The Parramatta Night Markets at Winterlight from 8 – 11 July, 5pm – 9pm.

If you’re looking to discover a unique view of Parramatta, then soar to new heights on the illuminated ferris wheel, or ride your way around the festival’s many amusement rides.

Perfect for a social lunch under the warm winter sun or a cosy dinner with family and friends, the Alpine Food Village will be home to a range of comforting winter delights. A perfect accompaniment to the meals, Parramatta’s Live and Local musicians will be performing some of the best live music tunes Western Sydney has to offer.

Gain some circus skills with juggling, stilt-walking, spinning and balancing at the circus playground.

Bamboozled Cabaret Shows will be featured each night as well. Shows will keep you entertained with circus acts, vaudeville and acrobatics with Jerry Hatricks, Miss Match - the quirky circus mama, the Gagliardies - comedy duo, Mr Spin and Uno - master manipulator of mallets
