Parramatta Loy Krathong Festival 2018

Experience the beautiful traditions of Thai culture at Loy Krathong on Saturday 17 November 2018, from 4pm.

The magical energy, sounds and flavours of Thailand will be on display, with enchanting lighting treatments, traditional games, and a range of delicious South East Asian food offerings.

Highlights of the Festival:

Special Performances
The Loy Krathong stage will come alive with cultural performances by local and international stars. 

Workshops 
Participate in free cultural workshops and learn about their significance to Thai heritage. Make your own krathong and then, as the sun sets, float your krathong on Parramatta River and make a wish for a prosperous future.

Amazing Thailand 
Visit the Amazing Thailand stall and be provided with destination information on beautiful Thailand.

Food Stalls
Enjoy delicious cuisines from a variety of food stalls and trucks. Enjoy traditional Thai cuisine, Asian delights, sweet tea, sugar cane, scrumptious desserts and ice cream.

Floating of the Krathongs
The procession and krathong floating ceremony commences at 8pm. Make your own unique krathong or purchase a krathong ready to participate in this ancient Thai ritual. Float away all your worries on Parramatta River bringing you a better life and prosperous future.

Fireworks Spectacular
Fireworks spectacular takes place at 9pm.
