MCA's July School Holiday: Mini-makers Studio
- Thu Jul 08 - Sat Jul 10 2021
- From: $10.00
Escape the cold these holidays and take your family on an adventure through our galleries followed by an artmaking experience with an MCA artist educator.
Join artist educators for the Mai, Garaga, Guri program (Gadigal/Sydney language meaning Eyes, Mouth, Ears) and take part in a mini-interactive family tour, stopping at two key artworks by artists Vincent Namatjira and Richard Bell. See the works up close and unpack the ideas shared by these artists. Once inspired, you will return to ther Studios for an art-making session.
In the makers' studio, both children and adults will be making either self-portraits or collaborative portraits that hold an important message to them, working with mixed material collage.
Everyone is welcome. This program has been designed for children ages 4–12 and their families to collaborate, create and play. All children must be accompanied and supervised by a paid participating adult. Siblings under the age of 4 are also welcome to join for free.
The program will run for approximately 2 hours. Capacity is limited, please book early to avoid disappointment. Please note, booking times cannot be swapped.
