Before Australia’s new icebreaker, RSV Nuyina, makes its maiden voyage to Antarctica in 2020-21, you can spot the colourful mini-version of it built entirely from Lego! The model, on exhibition at the Maritime Museum, is 3.2 metres long and uses 117,612 LEGO bricks. It took a team of three people, led by certified LEGO professional Ryan McNaught aka 'The Brickman', 328 hours to build the ship.

Do we have to add that it is also full of cool Easter eggs, Star Wars characters, a yeti, animals, and aliens too?

If you miss RSV Nuyina while it’s in Sydney, worry not – the exhibition will tour nationally as part of the Brickman Awesome exhibition.

When:   Until 2 August 2019 (Friday)
Where:  Australian National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour
Cost:    FREE
