I Spy with my Telescopic Eye at Sydney Observatory

  • Mon Jul 02 - Wed Oct 31 2018
  • Toddlers
    Preschoolers
  • $10.00

Join in a wondrous space adventure at Sydney Observatory where scientific inquiry meets imagination and creativity!

In this program aimed at little learners, kids will get up close and personal with astronomy by making take-home model planets and exploring the workings of telescopes using magnifying glasses. They will then see a real telescope in action as they peer through one of our scientific-grade instruments at a star twinkling in the daytime sky (weather permitting).

After that, it’s time to travel into ‘space’ as learners dress up as astronauts and step in front of our space backdrop for a souvenir photo. The gardens are a wonderful place for a picnic and the Solar System orbits in the northern courtyard can be used for some space play at your leisure.

Where: Sydney Observatory
When: Monday - Friday. 10am-1.45pm (45 min sessions)
Cost: $10
