Calling all Hello Kitty Fans, a giant five-metre Hello Kitty doll has taken over Darling Square as part of the unmissable Hello Kitty Town festival.
Darling Square Transforms Into Hello Kitty Town
Hello Kitty Town will be housed at Darling Square for three months and features themed food and drink offerings, and Australia’s largest Sanrio art exhibitions in the precinct.
The free outdoor festival will continue long after the Lunar New Year and includes art exhibitions, installations, lion dancers for Lunar New Year, street artists, free kids fun, Hello Kitty merchandise, competitions, and not to mention the largest Hello Kitty inflatable you've ever seen!
Hello Kitty theme menus from delectable vendors will complete the festival, serving incredible dishes including Ume Burger's Bad Badtz-Maru cheeseburger and white peach soda, Toastie Smith's limited edition toasties adorned with Hello Kitty ham bows, Bubble Nini Tea's KeroKeroKeroppi Matcha and Hello Kitty Strawberry Yoghurt Crush teas.
Jacqui Stanton, Retail Marketing Manager, says "We’re thrilled to be bringing such a loved and iconic character to Darling Square. Hello Kitty represents harmony and friendship and after what has been such a hard couple of years, it is an honour for us to celebrate joy and friendship with Hello Kitty & friends. We hope to encourage Sydneysiders and tourists alike to visit the precinct and immerse themselves in the art, food and culture of Hello Kitty."
