Go On An Adventure Camp in Sydney❜s North This Spring School Holidays

Adventure Camp runs for three days and is all about getting your kids to appreciate nature while having heaps of fun outdoors.

They will be immersed them in the local bushland, beaches, harbour and historical sites.  This October kids need to discover the location of Sarah Leigh’s loot (a real life notorious gangland figure of the 1950’s Sydney). They do this by completing outdoor challenges and problem solving activities.  Through this your kids will learn leadership and team work skills plus discover how to understand risk, make safe decisions and to appreciate diversification in one another’s personalities and skill sets.

During the camps the days are generally broken up into 4 separate periods of activity - and plenty of rest is provided for lunch, morning & afternoon tea.  Initiative based activities are built around team building and problem-solving and have one instructor for a maximum of 15 kids.  For rafting, snorkeling, swimming or sailing there is a minimum of one instructor per 10 kids with specialist, certified instructors leading these activities.

Their camps are tech and screen free and open to boys and girls from 7 to 12yrs age. Each Adventure Camp is run by highly experienced staff and instructors - all work with children on a daily basis.  All staff hold a minimum current first-aid certificate and have completed a ‘Working with Children’ check.   

They run three camps – This October snorkeling and rafting will be offered at Chowder Bay and Cockatoo Island with sailing at Northbridge.

Drop off is from 8am, collection by 5:30pm (except Cockatoo Island camp that revolves around the Ferry timetable from collection wharves).

Cockatoo Island Adventure Camp: 3-5 October 2018; 8.30am-5.30pm; $289.95 for 3 days; 
You'll kids will be exploring tunnels, learning about the history of the island and solving a mystery of 1920’s gangland Sydney... Along with all of this, there will be plenty of water-based activities (a short trip over to the Greenwich Baths where swimming, snorkeling and rafting will go from - wetsuits provided), plenty of team-work challenges and their trademark Prize Auction to finish up! 

There are multiple drop-off and pick-up locations based at Ferry Terminals around the harbour - you'll be able to drop your kids off at either Balmain Ferry Wharf, Greenwich Point Ferry Wharf, Woolwich ferry Wharf or direct to Cockatoo Island.

Chowder Bay Adventure Camp: 8-10 October 2018; 8am-5.30pm; $289.95 for 3 days; 
Based from the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) Chowder Bay adjacent to Clifton Gardens & Sydney Harbour National Park. New activities, challenges and stories - but with plenty of outdoor adventure. With the weather warming up, there will be water based games - with rafting, snorkeling and swimming certainly making a return. Wetsuits provided.

Northbridge Adventure Camp: 3-5 October 2018; 8.30am-5.30pm; $289.95 for 3 days. Northbridge Sailing Club, Bethwaite Lane, Northbridge
The 3-day camp will be action packed with plenty of outdoor fun and games - and no iPads in sight! With warm weather expected sailing is back on as well as swimming and water games - plus some new challenges...
