Global Rainbow at Sydney Tower Eye

Global Rainbow is an exciting new addition to this year’s Vivid Sydney, showcased at the Sydney Tower Eye. This impressive installation will beam the seven colours of the rainbow 40km across Sydney for its Australian debut.

The laser lights, created by Los Angeles and Berlin-based artist Yvette Mattern, symbolise hope and inclusivity, serving as a guiding light for the Southern Hemisphere’s largest light festival. Global Rainbow has previously lit up the skies of London, Berlin, and Toronto, and now it's Sydney’s turn!

Guests can find the start of the rainbow and enjoy spectacular outdoor views of the illuminated city by joining a special Vivid Sydney SKYWALK at Sydney Tower Eye. This 60-minute experience takes guests outside Sydney Tower Eye to bask in the lights, walk across two glass platforms, and get up close to Global Rainbow.

Available every evening at 5:15 pm during Vivid Sydney, with an additional 6:15 pm experience on weekends, the whole family can enjoy 360-degree views of Vivid Sydney and Global Rainbow from SKWALK or the Sydney Tower Eye’s Observation Deck, offering the city's tallest vantage point.

Take in Vivid Sydney and Global Rainbow from 250m above the streets and enjoy the extended opening hours during the festival. General Admission tickets to the Observation Deck allow guests to stay as long as they wish during opening hours. Global Rainbow will shine brightly from 6 pm to 10 pm every night during Vivid Sydney, from Friday, 24 May to Saturday, 15 June 2024.
