Although you might not necessarily associate the festive season with fish-shaped ice cream cones, now is the perfect time to turn your perception of Christmas on its head.

Daniel San’s in Manly are adding some Japanese flair into the festive mix with their very first Taiyaki pop up! Not to be confused with Teriyaki, Taiyaki is a Japanese baked sweet cake, shaped like a fish. While traditionally it’s filled with red bean paste, the team at Daniel San are changing it up for you and stuffing it silly with delicious ice cream and topping it with some of your fave sweet treats.

So, lap it up while it lasts—and either drop by for the full works or grab one of these fun, fishy-shaped treats to take away! They’re only around for two weeks over the holiday period, from Friday 21st December to Sunday 6th January.

Where:    Daniel San, 55 N Steyne, Manly,
When:     Friday 21st December to Sunday 6th January
Cost:       $10 each
