Culture Meets Nature At Family-Fun-Filled EDGE GreenWay
- Sat Mar 30 2019
Enjoy an immersive experience where culture meets nature at EDGE GreenWay by Inner West Council this Saturday. The free, family-friendly event is the latest instalment in a series of arts experiences and it’s set to light up Lilyfield!
EDGE shines a spotlight on local creatives and communities who are transforming urban sites with ingenuity and imagination, and is intended to celebrate the significance of the GreenWay; the Inner West cultural corridor, where multiple stories of place and layers of history are revealed.
There’s plenty to do—you can BYO picnic, enjoy free mocktails, an onsite bar and food trucks then meander your way through seven sensory eco-zones with something for everyone and surprises for all. There will also be kids activities, along with a Boat of Dreams light installation that will sail into the sunset during Earth Hour.
Families can really appreciate and reflect on Earth Hour at EDGE GreenWay, with a lantern walk leading to a free finale—a performance by the internationally-renowned Legs On The Wall.
